Last month’s RG Falla Quarter Marathon has raised more than £4,000 for Help A Guernsey Child.
The annual charity run, which was raising money for a local charity for the first time in its nine year history, attracted a record 271 runners, which was 106 more than last year.
‘We’re still waiting for the last few sponsor forms to come in but we already know that we have broken two records – the number of runners and the amount raised – which is just incredible. It was a perfect day for running along the coast and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves while raising money for what is a very worthy Guernsey charity,’ said RG Falla Managing Director Peter Gregory.
Tim Coates was the first man across the finish line in a time of 38.26 and Michaela de Vial was the first female finishing in 47 minutes. RG Falla’s sister company Geomarine took the fastest team with a total team time of 171.26 and an average of 42 minutes.
